If you want a good place to buy knives in Kappabashi, I’d recommend Kama-asa. Most other shops are considered “tourist traps” as the knives are very overpriced.

really kicking myself for not getting more. when I was here. I got a really nice sushi knife, and some plates and chopstick holders. But I really wish I would have gotten one of those hammered pots. we in fact bought a little suitcase just for that town
