when I lived in mass I'd usually get a sticker every other year or 2, then when. I moved to R.I. I figured I'd do the same. NOPE, here in R.I. the inspection system is tied to the RMV and they send u notices in mail informing u to get it done or registration gets revoked. worse thing was that every place I called had a minimum of a 2 week backlog for inspections.. and I had exactly 15 days until registration gets revoked.
