I'm a male and only request male therapist. Men know the male body more and are naturally stronger and know where to focus on instinctualy.

Male massage therapist can excel in sports massage and deep tissue. It's a lot more demanding and many female therapists can't do it all day (or as intense as a male). If you're struggling, market yourself first as a deep tissue massage therapist and offer other therapies second. Just my opinion.

It’s tougher for male therapists to get jobs in other areas such as hospitals. They don’t want a male to massage a female patient but a female can massage either.

I solely request males for my massage therapists. The deep pressure is a must for me and usually, in my experience, a lot of females I’ve had tend to talk more 😆 Lemme get an elbow to my shoulder in peace!
