it killed me to walk away from my godson and goddaughter. I miss them more than anything but the friendship with their mom was toxic. looking back she secretly hated me and I couldn't do it anymore I tried for a year after she told me it was my fault my other best friend died. I miss those babies so much.

I take my role very seriously even if me and my sister aren't talking and we aren't happy with each other those kids no matter what will always matter to me even if me and their mom don't see eye to eye

I agree! But also I deal with both sides I see majority of my nieces and nephews, but I have a sister who just kind of refuses to be a part of the family she always prioritizes her friends and her other side of her family we invite her to everything even as far as offering to pay for their trip just so they’ll come and she just never does and every time I’ve tried to set up a dinner or something or offer to take the kids. It’s basically just a no or an excuse. So sometimes it’s out of people’s control. I hope one day that changes and she comes around again.

Those are my babies too, I think of them when I think of having my own children, I bought cars with their car seats in mind and I bought a house big enough for them to all sleep over. I will go without if it means their wishes are fulfilled.
