The depreciation on a nice truck in 6 months is going to be $15,000 or more - so he’s going owe tax on that ($1200) plus title, registration, dealership charges. His loan on the second vehicle will be the sale price PLUS $15,000 - meanwhile he’s not paying a payment - SO - he’s being charged interest on 100% of the loan - plus the extra $15,000 in negative equity. After doing this twice - he’ll owe $130,000 on a $100,000 truck and will be adding about $550/month in just interest.
