honestly just keep reminding yourself of exactly what you said here,you have every right to be wary of him. you owe him nothing. if he wants to rebuild his relationship with you then he’ll have to realize it’s gonna have to happen at YOUR pace,not his. learn how to validate yourself and validate how you feel about the situation so there’s no room for him to make you feel bad about being hesitant. it’s a difficult process,but you’ve got this. and if you decide not to give him another chance to connect,that’s okay too. do whatever you gotta do for YOU and your own mental health 🫶

i know i'm a stranger on the internet but if you want a relationship with him, you need to try. if he starts showing red flags or being a dick? shut that shit down immediately, but if he's trying and being genuine, give him a chance. as long as you want to give him that chance yk? communication and comprehension are key to any and every relationship, romantic or platonic, it's important to communicate
