When I was at the pit of my depression/ alcoholism I had to go to HR and take FMLA so I could get some help and my HR lady said “Joshua, there’s no reason for you to be depressed or to drink you’re so handsome” uhm you think that shit matters lmao I feel you

I get this sometimes too. I think maybe some people think we stop calling ourselves alcoholics after we become sober. Haha nope! Step 1 taught me I’ll always be one. And that’s ok.

Our Alcohol journey is almost identical. Spent a good portion of a year in a hospital. We no LONGER have to live in a cage & free from withdrawal ❤

It’s a bias that people have for beautiful people. They just assume that everything is perfect in your life and that you would never fall victim to addiction because you’re gorgeous. They expect addicts/alcoholics to look like bums and hobos, but they don’t realize they could be attorneys, doctors, judges, police officers, school teachers, politicians, anybody! You are such a positive role model. Keep doing great things, blue eyes! I would never expect anyone with such gorgeous blue eyes to be an alcoholic! (Just kidding!). OK, love you, byyyyyeee! 💙💙
