Cleaned my drain out after it kept backing up (sink and garbarator). I have never been so close to puking over a smell, and I work on health care, been on numerous types of farms / ranches. I'll certainly hire a plumber if it happens again

I think the black stuff is definitely mold because I have a bit of mold in my sink and it looks like that. Idk if it’s for sure mold but it definitely looks like it

I grew up always having a garbage disposal. My rentals as an adult had one. The place my husband and I bought and lived in for 2 years had one. We bought a new place 2.5 years ago and it doesn’t have one. I honestly do not miss it at all.

My mother use to put egg shells down the drain using the garbage disposal and a clogged one of the drain pipes and burst into one of the downstairs bedrooms… Never put eggshells down the drain!
