@betterwithadventure: Relearning to walk after my great (aka big) toe was amputated has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. What once came naturally like putting on socks, balancing on stairs, taking each step… now requires focus, patience, and a kind of mental strength I never knew I’d need. My rocker shoes help promote a full, proper stride. Custom orthotics with a carbon fibre plate give stability where my big toe used to be. Physio helps retrain my brain to move differently, while mirror therapy helps ease the nerve pain that sometimes feels unbearable. On the treadmill, the support system takes off just enough pressure so I can focus on form instead of pain. Every step reminds me that healing isn’t linear. It’s one day at a time, one step at a time. I know I’ve got a long way to go, but I’m also really proud of how far I’ve come.

Why the harness etc? You’re only missing a toe. I’m a LAKA, extremely high cut and I didn’t need any of this over the top stuff. Seems extreme for just a toe

I "lost" my left pinky toe. It's not amputated but the bone that was supposed to be there was removed so my foot looks misshapen. Wanted to amputate but the doctors refuse and try to convince me there aren't any prosthetic toes (which I know they are lying outta their teeth).
