That’s what flute hats are called? I always called it the top piece and not a single person ever corrected me. On my school-owned instrument before I got my own, the hat fell off while practicing 😭 not a big enough deal to immediately replace, and I didn’t need to replace it anyways since it wasn’t mine, but my instrument didn’t look good
