You can always guarantee, the grandmother doesn’t have a relationship with mom, when that happens. Building healthy relationships with with mom is key. Listening to mom when she tells you something regarding her children will also build trust. If you can’t respect mom’s wishes you will have issues. I have seen grandparents have a great relationship with mom when they can respect mom’s wishes and they keep dad out of that dynamic. Especially if dad is toxic as hell.
