They put my mother’s arms straight down and I thought that was unusual. Not sure why because everything else was perfect.

My grandmas arms were laid at her sides and they put gloves on her and hid her hands a little. She had retained a lot of fluid in the last days and was very swollen they got off as much fluid as they could but her hands were still very swollen. She still looked good and we were happy with how everything turned out

My BIL had partially amputated fingers. In his casket, it was obvious his bad fingers were sawed or something to get his other hand to lie right.

When my husband passed, his hands were hovering almost 2” inches above his sternum in the casket. No one could explain that to me.

I am curious what does the bedding/bedding do? I know it looks nice, but does it serve any other purpose? Also, if you are preplanned (like my grandfather did before he passed) he had picked out his casket years before and prepaid for it. what happens if that model is no longer made?

Elbow, there is also a lot of families who know their loved ones are big even after we measure and tell them they need to go to a 28 or bigger and say just the motion in there and then they look a mess and friends and family. Assume the Funeral Home did a horrible job.

In the mennonite community their coffins are hand made. We have had to have them make a larger casket as there is not much batting. The hand placement is right over left. Just a fun fact . Love your content.

Only problem is most oversized caskets will not fit in a standard vault and most people would rather have crossed hands then purchase two spaces, we do have a few oversized caskets that fit in a standard vault but not many and not much more room really, I always give my family’s a choice though

My mom's right lower arm and hand were raised, so we had to put a stuffed toy in her hand so it wouldn't look weird. The funeral home said it was because she had rotator cuff surgery several decades ago. I don't understand why they did these she never had a mobility issues.

my son and law arm where not able to place the left hand over the right he was in a car wreck it crushed his whole left side meaning the left arm was broke in 3 place his leg was broken right at the hip and 2 other size
