This is also what kills me about people saying Taylor isn’t an icon like the Beetles, Elvis, Britney, Madonna, Beyonce, or MJ. Like she has changed the game in so many ways that people just refuse to recognize. The level of depth and creativity (especially in songwriting) expected from pop girls for example- that was Taylor, the awareness of artist rights and artist control- Taylor. Dislike her for a million reasons if you want, but don’t deny her impact.
