As someone who has a fruit allergy, it’s true. If certain fruits grow near other fruits they can be cross contaminated by the pollens too. I found THAT out the hard way 🙃.

As a server, I understand people make up “allergies” just because they don’t like certain things. It’s hard to believe things when they sound extremely random— “I’m allergic to all nuts” they proceed to order a salad that has walnuts so I asked chef to remove the nuts— coconut was left on salad and the person explained that CLEARLY… cocoNUT is a NUT. I’ve had nut allergies where those people are ok with coconut… so idk.🤷🏻♀

I became allergic to avocado while pregnant with my daughter. The allergy has continued for the last 11 years. If it is a US grown avocado, I have a severe reaction. Blisters all over and in my mouth. if its from mexico...nothing

The kitchen should absolutely know where their produce order comes from, lol. When their order comes in and they check their list off, it would literally say on the box of limes where they're from, lol. Or they can just ask their produce supplier. Sorry...restaurants owner here, lol.
