@birds__bees: We've been having great discussions on here recently about puberty and the take away is this: be PROACTIVE 💙 Go ahead of your child. Don't make them be the ones to bring this up. Don't embarrass them by making a big stink (pun intended) when the BO actually starts. 😷 Take the lead. Be proactive, not reactive. Buy some deodorant and put it in their drawer. They don't have to start using it right away! But it's already there when and if they want to try. Boys usually start to have some body odor under their arms between ages 10-14 This same approach can be used with girls. 🐝 We're big proponents of proactive parenting here at Birds & Bees and this topic is no exception. You got this. New here? Follow Birds & Bees for age appropriate talking tips. ✨Our kids deserve more than an awkward talk at an awkward age. #birdsandbees #parentingtips #puberty
My kiddo doesn’t have big boy smells yet, I think happens around puberty?

I used to teach 3rd grade (8-9 year olds). They reeked when I picked them up from PE. My partner teacher, always gave the deodorant talk to both classes.

My oldest started with bo around 9; with boys they can start puberty as early as 9; showers every day with a good body wash and shampoo and using both an antiperspirant & deodorant can help with body odor

10 year old boy? Might need to be a little more direct, as in after you shower EVERY DAY, you need to put this on EVERY DAY.
