I used to work DMV, cops literally never recognize temporary ID but you can show proof and get it dismissed

If it is marked on the physical license take it to court and show to the judge. That will at least be dismissed. Also still follow up with the DMV because those records are human maintained and humans miss stuff and mess up so no harm in double checking they have it right. It’s also possible if he has to run parties through dispatch the dispatcher missed the motorcycle endorsement. It’s not easy to read on all returns. I know, I’m a dispatcher 😂

tripping? dude was chill. if his license is good but isn't showing properly in their system then something is off that the friend needs to check. cops have no control on how its in the system

do to how you phrased that about the DMV telling them he could. sounds like he came from a DMV or he very recently got his license. it is very possible that two systems have not synced. if that's the case, the cop would not see that. it's also ridiculous that the systems have not synced. so I would say the fault is on the systems that the cop has to trust, not the fault of the cop. he was not tripping, he just doesn't have correct information.

little inside. cops have a quota to meet at the end of the month. that's why cops short on tickets will be out at the end of the month in force and will try to entrapment. the more they get the bigger there budget and paid.

So, I get where the cop is coming from. He has the license but if he ran the license number and it doesn’t pull up in the system to verify that he has it, then the DMV didn’t enter it in let/enter it in wrong. Had similar issue when I first got my regular license and the cop that pulled me over followed me to the DMV to explain with me what happened. (That and he technically couldn’t let me legally drive.)

what M1 M2 and M3 licenses mean? in EU we have A for motorcycle (AM-skuters A1-125cc and A2-below 35hp, A is no limit) B for cars and C for Trucks
