Edit: No one's commented on this yet, but i wanna clarify i am autistic, and im using the phrase "autistic meltdown" to describe a genuine meltdown, and not just an overwhelming experience. many phrases primarily made to describe neurodivergent stuggles have been warped out of shaped because of how neurotypical people have started using them casually, and have even started to let the word "autistic" itself begin to be a synonym to saying weird or awkward, and i want to clarify i am not using it as that. I am using it as a term for a diagnosis. and this could be obvious, but i feel the need to explain it regardless.
