Mom caused lifelong emotional trauma in her children to make a point and by serving her own selfish needs. A dedicated mother would NEVER put her children through such emotional chaos and trauma. The children do not understand the fine nuances of the situation, specifically the obligation of all citizens to follow all legal orders and commands of police officers during a traffic stop. Thus, the mother is also setting up the children to have a relationship with police officers based on fear, disrespect, and lack of respect for their legal authority.

Plus mom is not teaching her children to follow basic safety rules by wearing their seatbelts and following legal orders of the police. I wish officers could very briefly explain the situation to the children to humanize the position of police officers, and the legal obligations and expectations of citizens.
