You ignored that your buying the car personally with after tax dollars. So the $100,000 vehicle cost you $200,000 (roughly speaking).

Another benefit of using personal for business, and correct me if I’m wrong. You can bill your business for mileage on the vehicle at the government rate which is around 60 cents per km and its tax free.

What if you do genuinely drive for work and require a GMC 3500 for its hauling capabilities?

Amen amen amen - so sick and tired of seeing biz creators with no tax background encourage young entrepreneurs to do this (at least in Canada). It’s not worth the headache!!

Could you do a video on why u didn’t keep the Honda as your personal car in your name and lease the truck under the business name? Wouldn’t this allow you to fully write off the truck?

What happens if you’re a contractor and you drive the truck all day for work and the truck is in the incorporation’s name and it’s a lease?

Honey by keeping your old car worth $500, you could’ve totally said that one is personal and the truck is corporate. Making that $500 car worth way more - since you get to deduct insurnace, maintenance, gas etc -
