Same woman. Same ambition. Completely different fucking Friday. 🥹 A year ago, Friday meant getting ready for another nursing shift. Leaving my babies. Feeling guilty about leaving them AND guilty for wishing I didn’t have to go. Being exhausted before the day even started. Lying awake at night with my brain running through 847 different things. And knowing that if we wanted MORE financially, the obvious answer was… work more. Pick up a shift. Work overtime. Spend even LESS time at home. And I remember thinking: There has to be another fucking option. I didn’t want to stop earning money. I didn’t want to stop being ambitious. I just didn’t want making more money to require giving even more of my life to work. So I did the thing I was skeptical as hell about. I learned digital marketing. And a year later, Friday at noon looks like lunch with my youngest instead of clocking in. 🥹 I’m home with my kids. I still earn my own money. And for the first time in a LONG time, my life actually feels like mine. So yeah…thank God I “fell for the digital marketing scam.” 😂 Turns out I wasn’t trying to escape work. I was trying to build a life I didn’t constantly need a break from.
