@seantravelonpoints: Replying to @Eddy Gibbs Flight deals on Japan Airlines from SFO! Here are some additional tips when using Chase points to book on Japan Airlines: 1. Book in advance! Most dates seem to open up 11 or so months out, so it’s important to be checking for availability early. This is especially true if you want business class. Economy and premium economy tend to stay available a bit longer. 2. Be flexible with dates and airports. Sometimes to find the best deal (especially business class), it’s helpful to be able to slightly move around your travel dates and be able to take a cheap repositioning flight to another airport. As an example there is more availability from SFO to Tokyo than from San Diego to Tokyo, so if you’re in San Diego you might wanna take a quick flight up the coast for the best deals. 3. Search tools: I use the pro version of seats.aero (link in my bio if you’re interested in this paid version). But you can also use tools like pointhound, roame, or pointsyeah.
