As an Icelander it was fun to discover that the magical language is Icelandic and most of the characters have Icelandic names. Orka (the word for energy in Icelandic) is such a fantastic character and reminds of a blend of a berserker from the norse myths and a shield maiden from the Icelandic sagas. Great review and I wholeheartedly agree.
