The thing is the cure wouldn't have even worked, Cordyceps isn’t a virus or bacteria, it’s a complex parasitic fungus that takes over the host’s body and nervous system. The idea of an “immunity” to a parasitic fungus of that scale doesn’t align with how vaccines work. Vaccines train the immune system to fight foreign invaders, but here the invader has rewired human biology.
