Also all female Catholic schools push young woman to strive for careers and being leaders in every way. I went to Catholic school from k-college in the 80s-90s they barely talked about being a mom they wanted us to be more..the nuns pushed us to be the best in every way!

Im catholic my priest I confessed to him I was in an abusive relationship and he cried and told me god didn’t create me to be discarded by someone he created me to be loved and honored I left about a week after that

To play the devils advocate: 1) Mary was a child, and therefore could not consent, 2) the power difference between God and Mary makes it impossible for her to give consent and 3) God didn’t ask consent, an angel told her what was going to happen to her. That’s not asking.

The first woman listened to the serpent; the second, to the angel. Eve’s disobedience brought death, but Mary’s faith brought Life Himself. Her “let it be done” (Luke 1:38) opened the door for God to enter humanity. 🥹 she was a pivotal part in our salvation.
