@whatthemags: day 2 hair is a myth created by people with volume.. my three hair strands are literally swimming rn but at least the grease functions as styling cream dry shampoo can’t handle this and neither can i so i’ll stick to washing everyday tell me i’m not the only one🥴🫣 #thinhair #thinhairproblems #finehair #greasyhair #greasyhairstyle
Double shampoo, blow dry roots, dry shampoo right away. That’s made my hair make it to day 2.5/3

I hate when I tell people I wash my hair everyday and they tell me I need to train my hair. Baby I tried that multiple times and all I did was look dirty and waste money on dry shampoo. Some people just need to wash their hair everyday.

Same!! I’ve tried “training” it, it doesn’t work, the most I can stretch is maybe a 2nd day and even then it feels oily and just doesn’t look as good

You need to wash with a clarifying shampoo first and then a normal shampoo after. I would use a volumising shampoo not hydrating. Make sure you blow dry your hair

Wash all of your hairbrushes with dish soap!! Sometimes they're the culprit and not your scalp!

girl my hair gets greasy like this too! clarifying shampoo helps, but i do any shampoo that ISNT MOSTURIZING. i do it on my roots twice!! and use a scalp massager OR my hands to really scrub the roots! conditioner on just the ends 🫶🏽🫶🏽

I can’t even go 24 hours without my hair looking greasy and I have some 20/21 hour work days so my hair looks so bad the last third of my shift

I have both thin and fine hair, I can go 5-7 days before it starts getting greasy, I’m lucky I have it like that, it must be so tiring to have to wash your hair almost every day

I’m seeing the blow dry comments and it sucks but it does help😭 OR if I’m extra lazy and air dry my hair, I’ll use some mousse and once it’s dry I honestly use powder dry shampoo and I can get at least another day😂 It’s awful out here!!!

Also cleaning your actual hair brush regularly, they say that your brush contains all the dead skin and stuff and cleaning it helps prevent so much oil

I use to go up to two weeks without a wash day. After joining a CrossFit gym I’m down to like 4-7 days max. You can’t train hair 😂

LMAO I swear that line always gets me 😂 my “day 2 hair” used to look like an oil slick no matter what products I used. I thought I was doing something wrong, but turns out my hormones and gut were completely out of whack. Someone in a women’s chat mentioned eat like a woman protocol by loren green and it literally reset my whole body—30 lbs gone, scalp balanced, hair stays clean for days. Wild how it’s all connected and no one tells us.

This is what works for me as a girlie with OILYYY hair! Day 1 - double cleanse, condition ENDS ONLY. BEFORE BED, dry shampoo and don’t rub it in! Day 2 can maybe wear down, a bit of dry shampoo in the evening before bed. Day 3 wear up, oil treatment for the ends before bed. Repeat! Dry shampoo works best for me over night rather than panic applying in the morning. Also, applying it on Day 1 helps to keep it fresh!

me too! BUT THEN I had a stylist recommend dry shampoo before bed - found it to change the game. I do it before bed on day 1... successful day 2. I still can't do a day 3 lol definitely work a try - hope it works for you too!

I think it might be the shampoo/conditioner you’re using… they could be too heavy!
