Truly a thought provoking scintillating idea, so my question is what about a hive mind mentality like that of ants or bees? Do they have awareness of choice or consciousness and what type do they have? I also wonder about some trees and plants, are they capable of free will and consciousness in how they grow or adapt to their environment? At what point does a life form does being alive determine free will and conscious awareness of choice? 🤔 I appreciate your input because perspective changes everything.

free will is not free of influence. you can release yourself from the mechanical aspects of experience and actions. it's difficult to find freedom.

Fundamentally I agree because ‘most things’ imo come down to this type of process. It’s as we are in the middle of two processes. It’s not religious but also is kinda imo.

Philosophically a lot of people believe plants are conscious. They don’t have choice, but they observed the surroundings is what they believe.. which doesn’t go with his logic. they believe the universe is conscious without choice. We are using humans as a reference point of consciousness

Awareness has no inherent choice of anything. Even the survival mechanism kicks in due to environment. Any choice that’s made, is from a predisposition, perspective. That’s what’s usually meant by no free will.
