5 years of a lice infestation is *insane*. It’s extreme neglect. I understand you want mom to come back and seek treatment, but after the treatment, CPS needs to be contacted.

That's so sad, that's full negligence. My ex's sister in law had her daughter's hair like that when she was a child bc she didn't care to manage the infestation. It's literally enraging & heartbreaking

even with no lice meds, this kid wouldn't be this infested if they combed through with a lice comb daily to keep it from getting this bad..so how is that not neglectful?

Did you report this to CPS? That child is going to keep getting it because I guarantee the house is infested.
