They didn't rip off older Blues players, they actually helped them get more exposure to the mainstream audience. All musicians are influenced by other musicians. Led Zeppelin is a top 3 band of all time, with the Beatles and the Stones.

I think you had to be there is the answer sometimes. There’s an energy to music as it is happening and at that time, it was super subversive. Rebellion, experimentation and sensuality. They improvised most of their live and recorded material.

It's pretty hard to say that a band who godfathered a new genre of music style is overrated. Black Sabbath definitely had the most influence on heavy metal but Zeppelin also had a big hand in it

Every band/musician is influenced by another band/musician. They feel like they overrated maybe, but at their time they were the biggest gig going.

There's Led Zeppelin "Hammer of the Gods" and then there's all the rest in whatever order you choose. Zeppelin is the Only Band that is still played every single day on all Classic Rock Stations. 45 years after they broke up. And Yeah they borrowed alot of music of their influences and made each tune much better. And they're own music is so versatile and amazing. They need schooling 🤣🤣
