They refused to let her contact her commander? I didn’t think police could police the military.

Why is the cop acting like judge and jury?

Could have been all avoided if she rolled down her window and just took the speeding ticket

I see a lot of defense of her in these comments and that’s wild. She was in the wrong the whole time

Yeah always refuse and ask for a lawyer and say you’ll take the test with a private lawyer i would never trust the cops especially after they unlawfully detained me

Problem with police in the USA is that they lie to you. Police are trained to lie, so anything they say is the law is probably a trick.

What’s disturbing here is not the police response, but how many people are willing to excuse clearly dangerous and unlawful behavior simply because of who the person is. Speeding, stopping at a green light for no reason, refusing lawful orders, and driving while intoxicated are serious offenses—regardless of rank, gender, or profession.
If an ordinary civilian had behaved this way, there would be little debate about accountability. Law enforcement officers are sworn to uphold the law, and when they fail to do so, they should be held to an even higher standard, not a lower one.
Criticizing the police in this situation sends the wrong message: that rules are optional for some people. Accountability and equal application of the law are essential for public trust, and excusing this behavior undermines both.

The Officer asked her to take the test. It was a driving violation.

That makes no sense. A judge should order the test, and depending on the results should depend on her punishment. I wouldn’t trust them either sis.
