The council are not better than you. Not under any circumstances ever Claire. The councillor is obviously just looking for free publicity and an opportunity for a photos shoot. The gym are in the wrong for offering you the job 1st then going back on their word. I think I can speak for most of us that we'd prefer "little old Claire from Newcastle" over any stuffy councillor.
