as for me, I never finished basic training due to my lower half being riddled with cracks in my bones. pelvis to ankles. 2 soft casts, crutches, weeks of physical therapy, and con leave didn't work. after 6 months 17 days, I was honorably discharged. now 21 years later, my lower half still effects me. I can't be on my feet for long periods of time.
