And so it begins. The latest form of popular journaling, commonplacing, is getting usurped by aesthetic journaling. Bullet journaling has been stolen by aesthetic journaling. Regular diaries have been stolen by aesthetic journaling. And now commonplacing is being stolen by aesthetic journalers. All these forms of journaling were once very specific styles. And it has nothing to do with you not having freedom to do what you want. But some of us LIKE very specific kinds of journaling. And it's impossible to search for content on specific types of journaling because media is full of, and diluted by, aesthetic journaling calling itself by the names of the specific journal types. Which often have zero left of the original style. Leave COMMONPLACING the way it was in the 1700s. Just name this style you refer to here as "journaling."

guys there is an app called albo that kinda feels like a common place book if you are too lazy to keep one! it stores everything u see online that u like and helps u acc go back

Oh this is good! I started mine yesterday and did my about me page! I was making a list in my notes app of what I’ll put in my commonplace 😂😂😂😂 literally commonplacing in my notes app in order to write it out later 😂😭😂😭
