I got stripped searched and my equipment (for a documentary) was seized and searched for over an hour. I know they installed something on my laptop. So I sold it when I got back to the states. Worst experience ever.

I thought my family and I would die in that airport. It was back when Palestinians can use that airport to travel to Palestine. One worker flipped out screaming in Hebrew. None of us can understand why. I was like 9 years old terrified. Another worker started yelling back at the women and they were screaming at each other. I thought we would get unalived. They also take everything out of the bags and put them in baskets and throw them back in as a huge mess. But I can’t say going through the Jordanian border and then through the check points into the West Bank is any better. We get mistreated either way

I knew someone who was working for a Palestinian NGO inside Israel 48. He got banned from the country and sent home and then he had to ask his friends to ship his things to him in the UK. When he opened the box all the things were destroyed and broken. He had books and they’d taken the time to tear up pages from the books

My Muslim friend went to Jerusalem for a work conference and she was interrogated for hours at the airport.

I went to Tel Aviv as an American and have an Arab last name. I was detained and questioned going in and out of Israel. I’ll never go back!!

A lot of Danes I know have been to Palestine and one was interrogated for 8 hours on departure 🙃

similar story: my mother (a white woman) went on a study trip in palestine and isael. when she went back home, she and her friend were separated and interrogated at the airport as they had been in palestine. they didnt say anything but it was scary and unecessary. This was in the 80s
