Tariffs. Half of the Halloween/Fall merch came in with properly priced tags. Then corporate order came down, prices changed halfway through and our second half of merch came in improperly priced. We will match the tag if it's still on there, please don't hate us, it's not the worker's fault.

Businesses have been doing this forever. I used to have to mark up baby clothes when I worked at babies r us so they could put them on sale the next day. Amazon does it too for prime day.
