Can the patient sign the consent form before the surgeon shows up? For my two surgeries it was emotionally painful anticipating the procedure. I kept pushing to be put under or given something to relax me. Nurses were ready to administer drugs but we had to wait for surgeon. I would have signed the form well ahead of surgery day.

my Hydrocephalus neurosurgeon who is at almost the world's top level in neurosurgery and my other who is at the same level + researcher in Hydrocephalus internationally and they are 2 of Sweden's best neurosurgeons canceled my ETV surgery 20 minutes before surgery due to my Hydrocephalus is the most severe in my country so they didn't dare operate mine is fluctuating between obstructive, arrested and obstructive with aqueduct stenosis it fluctuates between those phases in just minutes that's why they didn't dare operate what do you think about it? My Hydrocephalus is very difficult, unstable and difficult to operate on. My head should have grown when I was little because of the pressure, but my body managed to stop my head from growing. My surgeons say it's unbelievable because with the pressure I had, it's physically impossible for my head not to grow, but it never did, but that's why it's so severe now.
