@natewinterstudios: For this 10lb Raku vase, I introduced a light reduction mid-firing to shift the glaze from those cool aqua blues of cupric oxide toward a warmer golden tone of cuprous oxide. After sealing it in the reduction chamber with newspaper, it rests for about 20 minutes before being quenched to room temperature. Once the soot is scrubbed away, the surface reveals its secrets; metallic golds, smoky blacks, and flame patterns frozen in time. #raku #pottery #ceramics #pyro #artistsoftiktok
