I had a jeep wrangler with Westlake. I owed $16k and then motor went bad and Jeep was no longer running. I did a volunteer repo and ended up only owing $2k that went to collection.

I recently had my leased car repoed. I called immediately and they told me what I needed to pay to reclaim it. They told me I could have the repo fee and late fees moved to end of lease and all I needed to pay was the back payments. 2 weeks later when I called to pay they doubled the amount I had to pay stating the repo fee was an estimate and for a lease it couldn’t be waived, they also told me I had to pay the next payment immediately too. I went from needing to pay 1500 (which I had) to needing to pay 2900. Sadly they won and I’m out a vehicle. I got lied to and they made it impossible for me to reclaim. Now I’m hunting down a car I can pay cash for and not have a payment for a while.

So I recently voluntarily surrendered my vehicle because I had a title loan of it and I couldn’t afford to pay the payments every month because my job situation and I was just wondering is that considered a repo if I voluntarily surrendered it?

I was unemployed for 7 months they repoed my car but I got it back within a few hours is that still considered a repo, I had also made a payment to reduce the time it was delinquent but they still came for it is there anyway to get that off my credit report ?? Sorry if it’s confusing

No, not always true. My friend communicated with the bank. When she was behind on her payment. And tried to get her payment deferred to the back of the loan, and they didn't want to do it.She offered them then to pay part of what she was behind, and they wouldn't take it because they wanted two months of payment.You though she was only one month behind and then out of no way they charged off the car and had it repossessed with no notice

Always know that after a repo If the auction of the car doesn't cover the Loan you will owe that is not for the car it's for the LOAN!
