they should have lemon laws for houses. because inspectors can't always find everything and sometimes it takes a couple months before you actually see all the issues, or even a different season. we should be able to go back to the original seller and sue them for negligence. and in doing so, should put off people from trying to do this in the future

In Finland, houses have a warranty period, so if stuff that wasn't disclosed comes up after you buy it, it's the previous owners issue as much as yours

I mean can you turn around and sell it as a fixer upper or serious problem house with several problems addressed and fixed already? Cut your losses? I’m so sorry. And it sounds like it was a dream, with an amazing community. But with all of the coverups the previous owners should be somewhat liable, hopefully? 🤞🏻 I’m so, so sorry your home isn’t what you wanted and needed and maybe a positive light way to look at it is you’re learning so much sort of inn your realm of work (but not really) and if y’all can make it through this I mean. Also what happened in escrow? I don’t really know what that word means lol

You can and should take this to arbitration!! Also please look into the inspector. They’re bonded for a reason. We had a situation where an inspector did not do his job and got 100% of our money back! (This was only $22k back in 2021 but I have high hopes for you with all the evidence you have.)
