Can we do Dog Grooming and Haircuts at home? If you do that and cut eating out that’s $250/mo that can be going toward paying off debt. … For phones, if the devices are paid off and not financed you can switch to Mint or Helium (they use t-mobile towers) for about $20/mo. That’s another $100/mo toward debt.…lastly you gotta keep the power and grocery bill down. Socks, hoodies and a consistent set point on the thermostat or maybe we are using space heaters instead of heating the whole house. Also Meal planning and big cheap dishes like spaghetti and casseroles; meals you can eat on for 2 or 3 days. I do a combo of Costco and Trader Joe’s to keep costs down. Let’s say you reduce power by $100 and grocery bill by $200, that’s another $300/mo to pay down debt. All in all that $650 in extra debt payments per month. Good luck my dear 🤗

You should watch Nicole Svenson here on TikTok. She feeds her family of 4 for only $300 a month. Obviously, you don't need to cut your food costs to that extreme, but maybe $600 a month on groceries could be a start. Also, haircuts, dog grooming can be done at home to save money. Eating out should be cut out to use that money to pay off your debt instead.

Colorado. Where we are at with no credit card debt. Groceries are ridiculous. That’s 25 percent of it.

Sell the car, buy a used one for cash, no eating out, no dog groomer, change your own oil, reduce the groceries, get a better family plan for that covers everyone; gas is ridiculously high. Saved you at least $1,500

I always look at the grocery line first. I always wonder if my grocery budget makes sense at $1250 per month for a family of 3 (1 adult, and 2 boys).

Some of these comments are awful. You’re doing the best, better late than never! If I were to give kind advice, I would work on meal prepping or atleast planning to help on the grocery bill. ❤️
