You’re supposed to duct tape across that thing all over first in a grid pattern. Then you start at the top from the back with long shims and pop it off

I cant tell what was used to hold the mirror, but for double sided tape, I've used dental floss to "saw" through the tape. worked great.

More surface area behind it would be good I always use a flat bar and try scraping first

most times they will pop with no issues. I cover with gaurdia or carpet protector just in case. I got this 7x9 off with no issue but then had to break it due to not fitting to get it out.

2x 3” screws with 1 1/2 shank, screw both off set to the mirror into a stud, pull one out cut the threads off, tie 50lbs fishing line to the one still on the wall, wrap line around the edge of mirror, then wrap the loose screw 10x, place screw back in the hole. Now you can use a drill and shave all the glue right off. Think windshield replacement!

That would work better if she got a heat gun and heated the whole area in front of the area it will come unstuck easier
