I don’t care what engine manufacturer recommends, i use the oil manufacturer recommendation. Most oil manufacturers use this scale as recommendation for daily drivers that do nothing except point a-b

It’s the EPA, otherwise 5w-40 can protect the engine better than 0w-20.

I just got back from Germany and asked why people drive so slow. My friend was rolling in AMG Mercedes driving slow. He said look at all the cameras. Not one soul is speeding. 20 km over the speed limit you lose your license for a month.

Heavier weighted oil does not mean longer service intervals no one should be doing more then 5000 miles in between oil changes if you want your motor to last
