If they're so valuable, why not pay the employee? It's such a powerful and profitable tool, you would think a few crumbs for the employee would be in there. Don't do things for free, it's a job.

We use premade professional videos for each rec. having the tech do it comes out very sloppy. This is just a fad. It comes down to if the customer wants to spend the money/ has the money or not. You can’t change their wallet

technicians absolutely need to be paid for them. yes, I do seem to turn morr hours on average since we started doing them. However, as a flat rate tech my time is what everyone gets paid on. if it really is THAT good then these shops that "require" it need to pay for that time required

The average customer doesn’t know what they’re looking at when it comes to video inspections. It’s just a “feel good” product. Honestly, it’s a waste of the tech’s time if they’re flat rate.

I hate doing video inspections. It made no difference whether I do them or not. Most customers are older and don’t know how to view the videos and majority of the time they just wanna get their service done and leave

It’s so valuable to the tech but the shop gets 80% of the proceeds. So who is it really more valuable for? PAY US. We can make money in a driveway, without you. You can’t make anything without us.
