IQ as a measuring tool is inefficient to a large extent, but the neurology behind IQ is definitely very important, pattern recognition, problem solving, reasoning, cognitive function in general, I’m not saying I’m a genius but it would be ignorant of me to ignore the clear advantages I have over other people, and it’s a very large part of my life, I learn things quicker (this is more neuroplasticity but high IQ is largely associated with faster and more efficient neural pathways so it is by extension also part of it), I can make sense of the bigger picture with a small piece, I understand things easily and have no trouble implementing it, sure it doesn’t guarantee better social skills, emotional regulation and awareness, adaptability etc. But it is most definitely very important, it’s not all of it, but my life would not be close to the same if I had a lower IQ
