St Cuthberts in Bedlington is one of the oldest around 900 bc ... st Cuthbert was rested there around 1000 bc ... ( not sure tho) but interesting history 😊

I was there a good few years ago doing a survey on the roof .. I came across some human bones that they dug through to bury someone . jaw bones and teeth the graveyard is level with the boundary walls because there is people buried on top of each other

Such a shame it’s just left to rot. I often have a walk around the graveyard. Visit the “pirate” grave as they call it, although it’s nothing to do with a pirate
