@cops.cam.night: Impaired "Karen" Rear-Ends Driver, Flees Scene, Then Assaults Cop: On August 24, 2024, an officer responded to an incident at an intersection area of Riviera Beach regarding a hit and run investigation. After completing the investigation, probable cause was found to charge the suspect with resisting arrest, assault on a law enforcement officer, and leaving the scene of a crash with property damage. Upon arrival, the officer met with Deputy Sergeant Conception, the original respondent deputy, who witnessed the suspect, identified as Tina, driving her vehicle and parking at her residence. Despite verbal commands to stay at the vehicle, Tina ran into her residence, requiring backup to assist in her apprehension. Further contact was made with Tina to confirm her welfare and take her into custody. When Tina exited her trailer, she appeared intoxicated, made incoherent statements, and attempted to resist arrest by shoving the officer. Tina was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest with violence. After Tina was restrained and placed in the patrol car, the officer spoke with the other driver involved in the hit and run crash.
