I always chamber a snap cap to test a custom rig if I'm doing outdoor activities that might jar it too much. I've been fortunate that the only problem child was an old takarov that I probably should have known better anyway. 😂

I'm a big advocate for dry fire training. As always take all the steps to do it safely, but it's a great way to get comfortable with trigger discipline drawing and holstering a firearm. It also gives you allows you to get comfortable with the firearm in a safe manner.
