🤭🤣😭 It's been there all along! It's called regenerative braking system.😬

it requires more energy to turn the alternator than it creates

There’s a massive electric mining truck, I’m blanking but I think somewhere in the Netherlands if I remember correctly. It has a very specific/unique use case where it only ever drives uphill empty but downhill with a full load slowing down using regen braking. They basically never have to plug the thing in because it’s basically a gravity battery on wheels and it even comes out at a net gain to an extent they use its batteries to power mining village infrastructure at night. But yeah, basically outside of a case like that, no dice on “magic” reclamation of energy.

The fact that you can't put a fan on a raft, pointed at a sail, and have it move forward still messes with my head😭

electric cars have a system in place when braking gently will help with mileage which is almost the same concept.

It's because you wouldn't generate enough power. It gets lost to friction, resistance, and efficiency.

You are talking about a whole different topic than the comment you replied to. The way an alternator works is by rolling magnets around a could 90degrees or visa versa. If the battery is already using the energy to move the tires, as the tires spins it rotates the shaft from the wheels in a whole separate circuit. It has nothing to do with momentum or stored energy or brakes. You can generate electricity with your hands rotating a magnet 90degrees inside a wired loop.

Because the alternators create drag. They don’t free spin.

Have you heard of ATS madam?? Auto transfer switch, put 2 different set of batteries and divide the alternators 2 to charge one set and 2 to charge the second set, let one set be in operation as the other is charging, when the first set discharges at a certain level get use of the ATS and switch to the other set and the first set charges. Apply the use of super capacitors to have a smooth transition period, it’s all possible people just want money flowing from the people
