I tip 10% on to-go orders if it's not automatically added because someone took the time to check my order, pack my order, and bag my order. It amazes me that some people think to-go orders somehow magically appear in a bag.

I loved when I heard an employee say "Ma'am I didn't program the machine to ask for a tip. I wish they never did that. I get abused over it when people can just click no. I don't even want the tips. So please just click no and we will both be happy."

someone left a 1 star review on my coffee shop because of the tip prompt. literally in the review said "they ask for a tip just for pouring coffee" like sorry you decided to pay with your card and the machine is already programmed 😂

I had someone go “I bet you don’t tip when you get to go orders.” And I was like “I always tip at least $1 and if not, I’m tipping 10% because I know that no one in a restaurant is doing just one thing: there’s prep, cleaning, throwing out trash, the expo window, hot side, cold side, quality checks, etc.” and then they came back later and apologized and left a cash tip. lol because I stayed calm, took his order and all the orders, bagged orders, ran curbsides out, poured drinks and wiped tables all within 20 minutes.
