As an Irish twin, keep the younger one back a year. There will be so much more comparison if they’re in the same grade and it also lets them to find themselves a little easier

Irish twin here! Different grades!!!! I always wished that I could have had my own moment for graduation, senior nights in high school and all that kind of stuff. Maybe it’s different when it’s both girls but with my brother I really just wanted my own moment without it always having to be shared

As an educator, it is so evident in lower grades when a child is the youngest. So the summer/fall babies who are a whole year younger than their classmates, they struggle at everything. So keep the younger one home for a year.

As a teacher who has taught students who were apart of Irish twins or Irish triplets, if they are academically ready for the same grade then go for it. But I would suggest different classes, so they get their own individual experiences. But if they aren’t academically there then no pressure for them to be in the same grade

Different grade especially with brother being the younger one. Boys can often use the extra time anyway. 💙

As an educator, let the younger start later. TK if you can. Let them both enjoy each grade separately. Once she is in high school better for be an 18/19 year old graduate than a 16/17 year old graduate because it’s harder to get approved for things if you are too young, plus an extra year for sports.

My sister and I would’ve been in the same grade had we stayed living in the state we were born in, but our family moved and we ended up in different grades. I’m so glad that we weren’t in the same grade because it allowed us to have our own friends and social lives

Do seperate grades me and my brother are 11 months apart! And I loved knowing I had my own group of people apart from him!

Irish triplet here - separate them. Give them their own identities! Their own social lives!

I went to school with a set of Irish twins and one was sent and one waited a year and the one who had to wait was bullied bc they thought she was slower and not as good as the other sister

No keep them apart! It will forever be unfair to the younger child who needs the extra time to develop and learn. They won’t do as well academically and will be forever compaired and falling short. You would be setting the younger one up for failure. When they are little even 6 months of development makes a difference! Once they are adults you can’t tell

im not an Irish twin, but I am an actual twin and I know a lot of people are saying that you should do seperate grades so that they can have seperate friend groups but me and my sister have the same friend groups and it's perfectly fine. also, I have kind of bad social anxiety and I make most of my friends through my sister, so if you think that might be something to worry about, then I would do same grade.

I'm a irish twin and me and my sister are in different grades and I think it is the better choice. they are going to be different people and I don't think it would be fair for either of them. they aren't the same age just cause they are close
