There have been far worse adaptations of videogames to film. I think it could have been better if it focus on the historical period and let the modern day section be a little more mysterious.

I just rewatched it again for the first time since 2016 and honestly really enjoyed it. Has a lot of potential there, still a good movie! As an avid assassins creed fan, just enjoy what it is! It’s not the game, the inspiration is there.
